2022- 2nd blog: The best holidays!

I am fortunate to remember many good vacations, but to answer the question, I will do it with one of the last experiences: San Pedro de Atacama. 

At the end of last year, in the month of December, we went with my mom, who was visiting Chile for a while, to the north of the country, a destination that at least she already knew.

Together with my two sisters and my mom, we spent about a week there.

Thanks to the excellent guidance of our dear friend Marcos, who showed us the must-see places in San Pedro, we had a memorable vacation, where he picked us up early from our lodging to take us to the salt flats, to the ravines or to the highest points of the mountain (we were at about 4000 m above sea level!) while we enjoyed delicious snacks prepared by him, set up on a nice table.

We could observe the Licancabur volcano, wild alpacas, chinchillas and other animals; we floated in the salty water of the Ojos del Salar, with my sisters we cycled a long way trying to find a river while dehydrating ourselves; we tasted the pear and algarrobo ice cream! 

We spent the christmas holidays in a very hot and arid place, the opposite of what you would traditionally expect! (although here in chile it doesn't snow, people try to recreate it jajaja).
