2022- 1st blog: A country I would like to visit
One country I would really like to visit is Cuba.
Everything I know about this place is thanks to what people say about it, the history subject in school and mainly, because of my dad.
Cuba is a controversial country, in fact, the three ways in which I have been building my image of Cuba, are often contradictory to each other, especially with the vision and history of my dad. To make it clear, my dad lived and studied for a long time in Cuba, even during the so-called "Special Period", when the country had one of the worst economic moments in its history.
One of my greatest desires (with my sisters) is to make a tour of the places where my dad lived, among which, of course, is Cuba, but also Nicaragua, Bulgaria, Russia, and there, to visit the places where he was, the people he met and with whom he shared, while he tells us about his experience.
If I were to travel to Cuba at some point, either with or without my family, I would love to visit the museums, especially El Museo de la Revolución; visit historical places like the Sierra, Bahía de Cochinos, Playa Girón, Santiago de Cuba, La Habana, etc.
Talk to the people I meet, walking along the Malecon and eating a lot!
Sometimes I imagine myself studying there. In fact, some time ago I had been looking for information on how to do it either in a student exchange or in a postgraduate program, enjoying its people, its landscapes and its history. I think it would be an opportunity to live genuinely and closely, the Cuban reality, I would like to evidence and live the conception they have about education and how it should be, among other things.
